The antennas we offer, both amplified and non-amplified, are made for specific distances. The non-amplified antenna works wonderfully for customers that are within a 30-mile range of the broadcast towers, while people more than 30 miles from the towers tend to find success with an amplified antenna.

When you are located close to the broadcasting towers and you use an amplified antenna, you may experience signal loss or not receive many channels. With an amplified antenna, the signal from the tower becomes overpowered when it is sent through the coaxial cable to the tuner in your TV. Over amplifying TV signals can cause signal loss. To resolve the issue, remove the amplifier and rescan your TV for channels.
